British Energy are using information from Technical Indexes to stay up-to-date with the latest electronic engineering information, regulations and legislation.
The company generates enough electricity in one year to supply over 19 million homes. It is the largest power generator in the UK, producing around one-third of the country’s electricity needs from its eight nuclear power stations located in England and Scotland.

British Energy Corporate Librarian, Jean Kent, based at their Barnwood, Gloucester facility, said: "Our Technical Indexes information system is available to anyone with a need to use it.
On-site engineers can come into the library in person and use a PC to view what they need with the option of taking a print out away with them afterwards if they wish. For those based further afield, at one of our other sites around the country, all they need do is telephone their request or e-mail the library and we send them what they need by return."
