Technical Indexes is a successful, leading supplier of business to business information services, delivered online and on CD_ROM. We have a challenging opportunity for an Account Development Executive in our busy Telesales Department.
Main duties of the role will be to develop existing customer accounts by contacting a selection Technical Indexes’ customers with a view to promoting the company’s products, and services and follow up and qualify sales leads. This is to be done in a mutually co-operative way with the existing Sales Area Managers.
Responsibilities
- to acquire and maintain a high level of product knowledge (training will be provided)
- to telephone customers and prospects regularly
- to promote the company’s products and services wherever possible by faxing quotes and orders
- to arrange trials of on-line products
- to liaise with field sales managers whenever appropriate to ensure continuity of customer care
- to pass on sales leads where appropriate
- to maintain accurate records using the new MIS for statistical, sales and marketing purposes
- 18 months experience in telesales/telemarketing environment and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet. Candidates need to be confident, articulate with a bubbly demeanour.

Responsibilities:
To be considered for this position you must possess;
· 5 years experience in an IT environment
· Detailed knowledge of Microsoft NT vs4 and 2000
· Internet knowledge including configuration of Microsoft
IIS
· Strong TCP/IP knowledge
· Experience of WAN connectivity using ISDN, Frame Relay
etc
· RAID configuration and support
· Firewall and network security principles
· Some supervisory experience
· An understanding of the software development process

· A proficient understanding of UNIX systems (preferably
