1964 Technical Indexes founded to provide Information service to designers and engineers.

1971 British Standards service launched on microfilm

1977 TBG purchase of ti, which subsequently forms part of the IHS Group of companies based in Denver, Colorado, USA

1988 Rapidoc launched to provide paper copy document supply service

1991 Technical Indexes the first company of its type to be registered to BS EN ISO 9002 by BSI Quality Assurance

1992 First Independently produced full text British Standards service on CD-ROM

1993 First Networked CD-ROM services installed

1994 Occupational Health & Safety Information Service launched with free text searches and facsimile images

1995 Engineering Product Library – major reference source for designers and engineers with over 1m full text pages of data from 11,000 companies – now available with Windows

1997 Construction Product Library replaces Construction and Civil Engineering Index

1997 Environment service goes ‘on-line’ service goes ‘on-line’

1998 ti Data Services starts in the UK following acquisition of Dataware Services arm by IHS Group

1999 Railtrack Standards Online launched
